Today was an extremely productive day! It started with me waking up before the sun rose and I got ready just before the sky started lighting up. The reason I woke up so early was to do a time lapse of the sky lighting up from the sun! So I set up my iPad and set it on the time lapse setting and let it record until about 7:40 this morning. Then I got picked up by my mento to get shots for my LINK project! The first place I went to film was The Lion's Den up by FLC and did a panning shot of Durango along with some scenic shots near the Lion's Den! Next we went to the bridge that 32nd street goes through and got some footage there. Then we drove to the Red Cliffs out of tow. And I got a shot of them. The last shots I took were at Bakers Bridge and OH MY GOODNESS! When I got to Bakers, my breath was taken away since I'd never been there before! After i got the footage I wanted to take, I got two hundred and twenty eight seconds of footage as well, and I plan to get more soon! After filming, I went over to the Dirango Independent Film Festival's office to help them out since the film festival recently happened. I did some small tasks here and there, mostly around organization, but the task I was given that highlights the day was taking apart the hard drive of a compute that houses all the machinery and hard drive. It was pretty fascinating even though it wasn't specifically film related but i enjoyed it! During my time at the film festival's office, I got to watch a film called Native Evolution! WOW! That's all I can say, it blew my mind knowing the person it was about was showing off a new style of art to represent Native American culture! That very much outlines my day and I can't wait to continue working on my project!!
I also visited Animas\ once I got off and it felt so strange1 I saw and visited my friends like Baylee, Emery, and Sierra. I also saw my wonderful advisor Jessica! But I was dropped off since my sister was shadowing so I'd leave with her. But in the last two years, I remember during LINK when a junior would come back and it looked like it was a big deal to see someone who's off doing work in an area they love. Well I experienced that and wow. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but it just felt good to see my teachers, friends, and advisor.
